PIPELINE

We Keep Energy Moving

Flint Hills Resources transports crude oil, natural gas liquids and refined products through 4,000+ miles of pipeline – delivering energy to farmers, manufacturers and families. And across every mile, the safety of our communities, employees and the environment remain our top priority.

What We Do

From the airport to the gas pump to goods arriving daily at your local grocer, modern life is powered by a reliable supply of fuel. Most of today’s fuels travel through pipelines to get to where they’re needed most. That’s where we come in.

Flint HIlls Resources owns and/or operates pipeline systems in Texas, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin that transport crude oil, refined petroleum products, chemicals and natural gas liquids efficiently, reliably and safely.

The refined products, including gasoline, diesel, propane and heating fuel, are transported to distribution terminals for delivery to consumers throughout the U.S.

Safety First

Our commitment is first and foremost to the safety of our neighbors, employees and the environment. That’s why we invest heavily in remote pipeline monitoring and information sharing. Using satellite technology, our pipelines are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week by employees in our pipeline control center in Wichita, Kansas, and are all a part of our Pipeline Integrity Management program. We believe that being a good operator includes involvement in the communities we call home through organizations that work to support our first responders, advance STEM education and protect the environment.

Our dedication to high safety standards has been recognized by government agencies and industry organizations:

  • Six locations, including the Southern Operations Group, are STAR certified in the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
  • 2017 Safety Excellence Award from the Coastal Bend Safety Council
  • Occupational Industry Leader Award from the National Safety Council
